WORCESTRSHIRE WELLBEING GRANT

There's £3,000 Available for Worcestershire Businesses Right Now And Here's What I'd Do With It

By Carrie Orgee — Founder of LUNAR LEOPARD WELLBEING™, Wealth of Wellbeing Expert & Fractional Chief Wellbeing Officer

Most business owners I speak to have no idea this grant exists.

Worcestershire County Council is currently offering up to £3,000 in Workplace Employee Wellbeing Grant funding to limited companies based in Worcestershire with at least one paid employee. It's real, it's open, and the majority of eligible businesses haven't applied.

I want to change that.

Because I've spent 25 years leading teams through every version of pressure a modern workplace creates and I know what it costs a business when its people aren't okay. I also know what changes when wellbeing stops being an afterthought and starts being a strategy. That's not a motivational line. It's the premise behind everything I've built.

This blog covers what the grant is, who qualifies, what it can fund, and why I believe wellbeing-led businesses are the ones that will outperform everything else over the next decade.

What Is the Worcestershire Workplace Employee Wellbeing Grant?

The Worcestershire County Council Workplace Employee Wellbeing Grant is part of the Community Wellbeing Programme. It was designed to help Worcestershire-based businesses create healthier, more inclusive workplaces by funding structured wellbeing initiatives for their teams.

The funding covers preventative wellbeing support — meaning the grant is specifically designed to address wellbeing before it becomes a crisis. Not reactive. Proactive. Which, incidentally, is exactly how I work.

Who is eligible?

Limited companies based in Worcestershire — Registered with HMRC and Companies House — Actively trading for 6 to 12 months prior to application — At least one paid employee — Must comply with workplace Health & Safety legislation and the Equality Act 2010

If that's your business — this grant is for you. Applications are open now at worcestershire.gov.uk/workplace-employee-wellbeing-grants.

Why Most Businesses Underinvest in Wellbeing — And What It's Actually Costing Them

I burned out. Properly. I built a six-figure business, led a team, held everything together, and then hit a wall I couldn't see coming — because I'd been ignoring every signal my body and mind were sending for years.

That experience didn't just change how I live. It changed how I understand business. Because when I look back, the cost wasn't just personal. It was organisational. Burnout doesn't stay in one person — it radiates. It affects decision-making, communication, culture, and ultimately, revenue.

The research confirms what I lived:

Regulated leaders are 42% more effective in decision-making and crisis response — Teams with emotional wellbeing strategies see up to 50% fewer stress-related absences — Employees who feel supported are 3x more engaged and 27% more loyal — Wellbeing-led organisations outperform others by 20–25% on long-term productivity

Wellbeing is not a perk. It is a performance strategy. And the businesses that understand this earliest will have a significant competitive advantage over those that don't.

The W.E.A.L.T.H.Y. Framework™ — Wellbeing Built Around How Businesses Actually Work

When I founded LUNAR LEOPARD WELLBEING™, I built it around a proprietary methodology called the W.E.A.L.T.H.Y. Framework™. It's a structured diagnostic and performance tool that identifies exactly where a team's clarity, capacity, and culture are being quietly eroded — and what to do about it.

W.E.A.L.T.H.Y. stands for:

W — Wellbeing: the non-negotiable foundation everything else is built on

E — Energy: the vitality and life force that determines capacity

A — Abundance: prosperity in all its forms — financial, emotional, relational

L — Legacy: sustainable results that outlast the pressure

T — Trust: in decisions, instincts, and self-authority

H — Happiness: genuine fulfilment, not performance

Y — You: because you are the greatest asset in your business

This framework doesn't just diagnose. It acts. Each pillar maps to specific beliefs, behaviours, and blocks that are impacting performance and the interventions I use address those directly.

This is wellbeing designed to solve business problems. And it's exactly what this grant can fund.

What the £3,000 Can Actually Fund

As your Fractional Chief Wellbeing Officer , your company's dedicated wellbeing lead, without the full-time salary — here's what I can bring your business through this grant:

Ongoing wellbeing sessionsBelief Coding, Pilates, sound healing, and meditation — regular, structured sessions that build over time. Not a one-off. A consistent standard.

Lunch & LearnsFun, practical, CPD-verifiable sessions that fit into your working day without disrupting it. Topics include The Wealth of Wellbeing™, nervous system regulation, leadership under pressure, and more.

Staff days & retreatsDesigned around how your people actually function — biologically, emotionally, energetically. A genuine reset that changes how a team returns to work.

The W.E.A.L.T.H.Y. Framework™ AuditA structured diagnostic that identifies exactly where your team's performance, clarity, and culture are being impacted — and builds a roadmap to address it.

Nervous system & stress supportPractical tools for managing pressure, reducing reactive behaviour, and building long-term resilience. This isn't soft. It directly impacts decision-making, communication, and capacity.

Leadership & culture developmentSupporting leaders to make clearer decisions, communicate better, and build teams that stay. Because culture is set at the top, and it either protects your people or erodes them.

Birth chart sessionsYes, really. Ask me. Teams consistently report this as one of the most impactful sessions they've experienced — because understanding your own rhythms and instincts changes everything about how you lead and work.

Why Now

Grant funding has a window. This one is open now, but it won't be indefinitely.

Beyond the funding, there's a broader reason this matters right now. We are in a period of sustained pressure across every industry. Teams are carrying more than ever, health challenges, caring responsibilities, cognitive overload, prolonged fatigue. Much of it is invisible. Masked. Manageable, until it isn't.

The businesses that invest in their people's wellbeing now will be the ones with the strongest teams, the lowest turnover, and the clearest cultures in two years' time. The ones that don't will be dealing with the fallout.

This grant is a funded route into doing something about it before it becomes a problem you're managing rather than a standard you're building.
